Is this a subscription?
No. The app is a one-time purchase. You pay once, get twelve months of updates included, and it keeps working forever after that, even if you never pay again.
Do I have to buy your AI credits?
No. troth has no inference of its own. You bring what you already pay for: a subscription you already have (Claude, ChatGPT, or Kimi), your own API keys, or fully local models that cost nothing to run. There is no middleman charge.
What if you go out of business?
The app keeps working. It runs on your machine, uses your engine, and stores your memory locally. Nothing depends on a server we control. The core is AGPL open source, so the protocol and SDK stay available no matter what happens to us.
What is included with the app purchase?
Twelve months of updates from the day you buy. After that the version you have keeps working forever, and you can renew for another year of updates if you want the newer ones. No feature is taken away when the update window ends.
Is there an autonomous mode?
It is coming soon. Autonomous mode will be opt-in and budget-capped. It is not part of the shipping app yet, so we are not charging for it or promising a date.
